(7:50 p.m.) Richard and Kristi Strassburg, Lot 72 Stony Point Trail, West Battle Lake in Everts Township, requested the following: Drain Field: To meet the 100’ separation from the wells on adjacent properties, and to avoid constructing the new drain field on the existing driveway, we are seeking a variance to allow portions of the proposed septic system to be in the 10’ property line setback and in the 64’ road right-of-way for Stony Point Trail. (Stony Point Trail is a 12’ gravel path that dead ends 200’ north). Non-Conforming Alteration to Non-Conforming Structure: Existing 1964 structure is 12’ 14” width, 22' IV2” length, 7’ 8” height (265sf), and 5’ to 8’ from property line. Repairs to the existing structure are needed including replacement of the roof structure and repair and/or replacement of existing walls. We are seeking a variance to increase the height up to 10’ to allow for proper roof drainage and adequate roof structure depth to accommodate snow loads caused by snow drifting off of adjacent embankment.
