THE ITETINC OF THE OTTEH TAIL COUNTS: BOARD OF ADJUSTf-TM' I'jarch 6, 1986 The Otter Tail County Board of Adjustment met Thursday, March 6, 1986, with the follaving in attendance;Call to order George Walter Marcus Wiechmann John Everts Victor Petterson Roger Marty Minutes of December 1985 meeting 1985 Chairman Walter opened the meeting at 7:00 p.m., and hearing no objections or corrections to the minutes of the Decei^jer meeting, declared same approved as mailed. Chairman selected George Walter Secretary' Bergerud served as chairman for ncminations for Chairman for 1986. I'totion was made by Marcus Wiechmann, seconded by John Everts to nominate George Vialter as Chairman for 1986. Motion was made by Roger Marty, seconded by Victor Petterson and unanimously carried, to have the ncminations cease, and George Vlalter vias declared Chaim^n for 1986. Chairman Walter assumed the chair for nominations for Vice Chairman. Motion was made by John Everts, seconded by Roger Marty and unanimously carried to select Craig Anderson as Vice Chairman for 1986. Vice Chairman selected Craig Anderson The follcuv’ing requests for variance were considered; I Granted Allan Hovland, Pelican Rapids, I'T'I, requested permission to enclose ■ and screen existing dec}; which, ds api'^roximately 65' to 69' frcra lakeshore on lot 4 & 5, Touissant Heights, Scambler Township. After consideration, motion v?as made by John Everts, seconded by Roger flarty and unanimously carried^,, to employ the "string test", allowing con struction to but no closer than a line drawn between-'the dwellings on either side. ISoe Tabled John C. ^^oe, Minneapolis, requested permission to allow a cabin to remain as presently located approximately 143' feet fran lake, on an unplatted piece of property containing 120 acres more or less in Section 10, Tumuli Township. Motion v/as made bv' Marcus Wiechmann to deny, no adequate hardship shoi^n. The motion died for lack of a second. Motion was then made by Roger Marty to allow the new' cabin to remain as presently located on the oonditicn the hunting shack located on the property be completely removed from the property with no further variances on this property. The motion was seconded by John Everts but failed with G^eorge Walter, Marcus VJiedhmann and Victor Petterson voting "no". Motion was then made Roger Marty, seconded by Jchn Everts and carried unanimously to table for further information. Lawrence R. Jensen, Fergus Falls, MN requested permission to convey a parcel of land less than 2.5 acres in the SFk of Section 30, Aurdal Township, without platting. After consideration, motion was made by John Everts, seconded by Roger Martp’ and unanimously carried, to approve variance, no precedence being set as other parcels in the area are smaller in size, this being a "r riant parcel" bounded by tcnA.Tiship roads, etc., town board approval aaving been obtained.
