The variance as approved does not directly or indirectly grant any other variances for the proposed development. SCANNED My wife and I own a summer seasonal lake cabin on Pelican Lake that has been in the family since 1970. In 2010 a neighbor had to have his property surveyed so several other neighbors and I had our properties surveyed too. To our surprise, the corners of many properties along County Highway 20 shifted east approximately ten feet from where everyone thought they were based on where structures and landscaping were located. This has now created a hardship for us. The present garage is not large enough to store our boat and we also have a metal shed that 1 would like to remove but need to store the items in it in the garage. If the old property lines were accurate, my proposed structure would fit between the property line and the drain field. Using the new property line results in reduced distance from the line and the drain field. If I move the structure closer to the lakeshore I would have to remove several very old oak trees which certainly add value to the property. As depicted on my drawing, the proposed garage would replace the existing one and would be the same distance (approximately 8 feet) from the new property line. The other side would be approximately 6 feet from the end of the drain field. Since this is a relatively small deviation, I am hoping we can be allowed to proceed.
