I understand that I have applied for a variance from the requirements of the Shoreland Management Ordinance of Otter Tail
County. I understand I must contact my township in order to determine whether or not any additional variance and/or permits
are required by the township for my proposed project.

Motion was made by Cecil Femling to approve a 40' variance from the required 75' setback.
After additional discussion the motion died for lack of a second. After additional consideration,
motion was made by Craig Anderson, seconded by Dan Oehler, to table this request until the June
4th meeting to allow other board members an opportunity to view this property and to allow the
applicant to make some additional measurements.
Motion was made by John Everts, seconded by Bert Olson and unanimously carried, to approve a
variance of 36' from the required ordinary high water level setback of 75' for the construction
of a cabin. The granting of this variance will keep the applicant from building within the bluff
and bank area. Best location for structures in this area is at a setback of 39'.
