August 4, 1981 Chairman, Otter Tail County Board of Adjustment Otter Tail County Courthouse Fergus Falls, MN 56537 Re: Shoreland Management Edward Fish Pelican Lake Otter Tail County Dear Mr. Chairman: This office has reviewed the request of Mr. Fish to build a gazebo 12 feet from the water front. The only exception allowed for by shoreland management regulations is a boat house. The construction of a gazebo waterward of the setback distance would be an intrusion on the natural setting of the shoreland and contrary to the intent of the ordinance and regulations to conserve the environmental values of the shoreland.
