Otter Tail County Highway Department - Approved As Requested: A Conditional Use Permit Application (as stated by the Applicant on the Application): Project No. S.A.P. 056-627-014, reconstruction of CSAH 27 from North Woodland Drive to CSAH 10, 4.337 Miles. I started by clearing out an area not knowing that I needed permits to do so. The area that is cleared iis 23,446 square feet. I started a contract for deed with my neighbor 6 years ago for this spot of land. A couple of the neighbors on Tamarac tried to buy the property out from under me for more than I was paying. My Fargo neighbor told them no, so they came to me. I told them they might be able to buy some of the land from me. Three years later we lost 11.4 acres to the DNR. I had to tell the lake neighbors that I would not be able to sell any of the land to them now. After that someone called in anonymously telling Land and Resource that they better come out. My brothers have helped me with all the physical labor done at the lake due to my physical and mental disability. I want my brothers and his two boys, my other brother and his wife and kids, and my wife and four kids to be able to keep enjoying the lake and making wonderful memories. I will pay my dues and permit fees so that can happen. We have a 20 foot motorhome and two 39 foot campers on the lot. Each of the 39 foot campers will have a 10’x20’ deck. The motorhome will not have a deck. There is also a 8x10 storage shed. I have everything staked out on the property for you to see. As far as the property go, we are done doing what needs to be done other than cleaning up all the dovmed trees. Begging for forgiveness and pleading for the permits required. Thank you for your time. My concern is the number of campers with no sewer or water access. I am unaware of the campers leaving the property to empty sewer or add water. My other concern is the lake access from their property, it is an area filled with lily pads, bird nesting including loons. I certainly want everyone to have access to the lake and be able to enjoy.
