Haugen Pelican Lake Yacht Club Re: Dear Planning Commission flembers: Ue have received the two above applications and would like to offer the following comments to assist you in your decision. The high water mark of Pelican Lake was recently surveyed and de termined to be at elevation 131A.0. Obviously any fill below that elevation would require a DNR permit. Additionallyn it appears Hr. Haugen would like to do some extensive excavation at this site. If this excavation is done before this springi adequate erosion control measures are difficult to envision. Some seedingi fertilizing and mulching would probably be necessaryi and it is too late for that this year. If you grant Hr. Haugen approval for this worki adequate erosion control procedures should be a condition of the permit. I would recommend that they be rather specific. In regard to the Pelican Lake Yacht Club application! please be sure the applicant is aware of the need for a DNR permit to fill in the bog area he mentions- Thank you for your consideration of these comments.
