Motion was made by John Everts seconded by Frank Lachowitzer and unanimously carried, to approve a variance of
66’ from the required ordinary high water level setback of 200’ for an addition to an existing dwelling approximately
124’ from the ordinary high water level. It was noted that the proposed addition would be further away from the
ordinary high water level than the applicant’s existing structure.

OTTER TAIL COUNTY BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT
September 3,1998
The Otter Tail County Board of Adjustment met Thursday, September 3, 1998, with the following
persons in attendance:
John Everts
Cecil Femling
David Holmgren
Frank Lachowitzer
Randall Majin
George Walter
Bill Kalar, Land and Resource Management
Karen Cooper, Assistant County Attorney
Call to Order - Chairman George Walter called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m.
Minutes Approved -
Hearing no corrections or additions the minutes of the August 13, 1998, meeting was approved as
mailed.
The following variance requests were heard:
Johnny Torgrimson - Approved
Johnny Torgrimson, Dalton, MN, requested a variance of 66’ from the required ordinary high water level
setback of 200’ for an addition to an existing dwelling approximately 134’ from the ordinary high water
level. The property is described as the East Half of Sub Lot 2 and all of Sub Lot 3 of Government Lot 4,
Section 3 of St. Olaf Township by Lake Johannes. The audience was polled with no one speaking for
or against the request. After consideration, motion was made by John Everts seconded by Frank
Lachowitzer and unanimously carried, to approve a variance of 66’ from the required ordinary high
water level setback of 200’ for an addition to an existing dwelling approximately 124’ from the ordinary
high water level. It was noted that the proposed addition would be further away from the ordinary high
water level than the applicant’s existing structure.
