I understand that I have applied for a variance from the requirements of the Shoreland Management Ordinance of Otter Tail County. Application dated Signature 01 Appltcahl 97 S' uL/. - /ODate of hearing:Time:19 MOTION AS FOLLOWS: Motion was made by John Everts, seconded by Craig Anderson and unanimously carried, to deny the variance as requested as no adequate hardship had been shown, the granting of the variance would establish a precedence and other alternatives exist that would not require a variance. It was noted that this is a new development and the size of this lot provides other alternatives that would not require a variance from the requirements of Ww ordinance. MY LOT SLOPES WITH A HIGH BANK ON THE EAST TO A VERY MUCH LESSER BANK ON THE WEST1 . WHICH IS WHERE THE DOCK, THE BOAT LIFTS, ETC. ARE PUT INTO THE WATER BECAUSE THE ACCESS IS MUCH EASIER.THERE IS ALSO STEPS BUILT INTO THE BANK AT THIS POINT. 2 .I HAD OPEN HEART SURGERY WITH FIVE BY-PASSES AND MY DOCTOR INDICATES I SHOULD NOT BE CARRYING EQUIPMENT ANY DISTANCE OR PARTICULARLY UP HILL VERY FAR. 3 .ON THE WEST SIDE OF THE LOT IS THE ONLY DECENT PLACE TO PUT A DOCK AND BOAT LIFT IN WITHOUT HAVING A LONG STAIRWAY, AS THIS IS THE LOWEST ELEVATION OF THE LOT. HAVING THE STORAGE SHED IN 65 OF THE LOT AND SPOIL THE BEAUTIFUL VIEW THAT WE NOW HAVE LOOKING OUT OVER THE LAKE FROM OUR DINING, LIVING ROOMS, DECK AND PATIO. 4 .FROM THE WEST LOT LINE WILL PUT IT TOWARDS THE CENTER FURTHERMORE, THERE SHOULD BE NO PROBLEM WITH NEIGHBORS ON THE WEST AS THERE NEVER WILL BE A BUILDING IN THE LOTS WEST OF ME, BECAUSE AS YOU CAN SEE THE ROAD ON THE ATTACHED PLOTTING, THE ROAD COMES RIGHT ALONG MY LOT AND THEN SWINGS WEST, LEAVING TOO LITTLE ROOM BETWEEN THE ROAD AND THE LAKE FOR ANYONE TO BUILD TO THE WEST OF ME. r All mat part ot Government Lot lour ,[PARCEL 1]:• Section Two (2), Township One Hundred Thirty-one (131), Range Forty-one (41), Otter Tail County, Minnesota, described as follows;> Commencing at the northwest corner of said Section Two (2), which is marked by a Bureau of Land Management brass monument; thence South 0 degrees 22 minutes 53 seconds East on an assumed bearing along the west line of said Section Two (2), a distance of 410.00 feet to the point of beginning of the land to be described; thence North 78 degrees 11 minutes 21 seconds East a distance of 117,00 feet; thence South 3 degrees 59 minutes 07 seconds East a distance of 775 feet more or less to the shoreline of Long Lake; thence southwesterly along said shoreline to said west line of Section Two (2); thence North 0 degrees 22 minutes 53 seconds West along said west line, a distance of 847 feet beginning.
