Board of Adjustment -2 -May 7, 1987
Wallace G. Behm, Morris, MN, requested permission to build an addition
to present building on Lot 1, Coney Island, West Battle Lake, Girard
To.vnship, 42 feet fran lake. After consideration motion was rnade by
Craig Anderson to approve application of the "string test", allowing
building towards the lake no closer to lake then neighbors on either
side, to existing structure. The motion was seconded by Marcus Wiech-
mann and carried upon the following vote:
All voting in favor.
Alton E. Anderson, Erhard, MN, requested permission to construct a
24' x 30' garage 5' fran lot line, 37' fran Heilberger Lake, on IDt
1 of Bill-Ra-Al Acres, Friberg Township. After consideration, notion
was rnade by Roger Marty to grant a 6 3 ' variance, or 3 7' from lake,
hardship being a substandard lot and terrain, should have reasonable
use of property. The motion was seconded by John Everts and carried
upon the following vote:
All voting in favor.
F. A. Rick, Pelican Rapids, MN, requested permission to rebuild on
foundation where structure was destroyed by fire, on the NW 30' of
Toussaint Heights, Pelican Lake, Scambler Township, 6' fran north"M=st
property line, 2' from southeast property line. After consideration
notion was made by Marcus WiechmaJn to deny, no adequate hardship
shown, with other uses of property available without variances. The
notion was seconded by George Walter and carried with the following
vote:
Yes -Wiechnann, Walter and Everts
No -Marty and Schwartz
Abstaining -Craig Anderson
Tanny Reff, Fargo, ND, requested permission to construct screened
porch, and to allow a rretal store shed to rerrain as presently located
on the s 60' of the N 550' of lot 5, Wly of CSAH #31 in Section 3,
Lida Township. After consideration, motion was made by Roger Marty
to approve screened porch as is located on a substandard lot, hardship
being unique shape of property, with the best site.:as ·located. The
notion was seconded by Robert Schwartz and carried upon the following
vote:
All voting in favor.
Motion was then made by Craig Anderson to deny the shed location, no
adequate hardship shown. The motion was seconded by George Walter
and carried upon the following vote:
Yes -Anderson, Walter, Schwartz & Wiechnann
No -Marty and Everts
