CXXJNTy BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT October 4, 1990 The Otter Tail County Board of Adjustment met Thursday, October 4, 1990 with the following persons in attendance: George Walter Victor Petterson, Jr. Carl Johnson John Everts Craig Anderson Daniel Odiler Tim Griep, Land & Resouroe Kurt Mortenson, Assistant County Attorney Chairman Walter called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m., and hearing no cbjections or changes to the minutes of the Septentaer 6th meeting, declcu:Bd same approved as mailed. The following applications for varianoe were heard: Michael J. Temus, Ancica, MN, requested permission to construct porch 28* from Marlon Lake, on Lot 3, Art's North Shore, Rush Lake Township. After consideration, motion was made by Vicl.or Petterson, seconded hy John Everts and unanimously carried, to deny, no adequate hardship shown. CALL TO ORDER MINUTES APPROVED TERNUS - DENIED Chester Kaiser, Sioux City, lA, requested permission to replaoe a mobile home 53' from East Lost Lake, on Lot 3, Tradewells, Sverdrup Township. Letters received were read. AFter consideration, moticn was made by Victor Pettersoi, seconded by Daniel Oehler and unanimously carried, to allow placement of the mobile hone no less than 70 feet from lake, hardship being terrain, substandard lot of record, an inprovement over existing situation, with the old trailer being removed. E^ls, Dent, M!), requested permission to encloseBig McOoncild Lake inEdna Township, made by John E\«rts, seconded by Craig Anderscm and carried with Carl Jchnson voting "no", to deny, no adequate hardship shown. Floyd L. Melin, Maple Grove, MN, requested a 100' set back for ocn- struction of dialing on a tract in G.L. 5, Section 6, Dead Lake Town­ ship on Dead Lake. AFter consideration, motion was made by Victor Petterson to grant a varianoe, placing cabin 135* from the lake. The motion was seconded by Carl Johnson but failed with John Everts, Craig Anderson and George Walter voting "no". Motion was then made by Victor Petterson to allow placing the dwelling 150* from the lake. The motion was seconded by Craig Anderson and carried with Carl JOhnson voting "no". Hardship being terrain. Dorothy Morgen, Battle Lake, MN, requested permission to construct a 16' X 22' garage 5'3" from road ri^t-of-way on lot 2, Ckeson Beach, Eagle Lake in Eagle Lake Township. After consideration, motion was made by Victor Petterson, seconded by John Everts and unanimously car­ ried, to approve as requested, hardship being terrain, substandard lot of record, and no precedence being set. KAISER - APPROVED EWAI£ - DENIES existing 20' x 16' deck, on Lot 1, Fawn Oaks Development, After cxzisideration, motion was MELIN - APPROVED MORCIN - APPROVED Gerald Schultz, Ten Mile Lake Resort, Daltcn, MN, requested pemission to remove a 3 bedroom cabin and exchange for 3 additional campsites in G.L. 3, Section 21 and G.L. 1, Section 28, Tutmili Township on Tan Mile Lake. seoonied by Craig Andersen and unanimously carried, to acespt the rec- dimendaticn of the planning cxaimission and grant two additional cairp- sites cifter retoval of the three bedrocm cabin.
