The, Otter Tail County Board of Adjtfttment met April 7 , 1983,j-';•■■■■'; i'jie •
with George Walter, Craig Anderson, John Everts, Tom Stringer and Frank Lacho-
witzer present.
Chairman Walter opened the meeting at 7:00 p.m,, and after cor
rection of the March 3rd minutes in the matter of the Darrel Leitch request, to
add "seconded by John Everts and carried," and in the matter of the Donald Pikop
request^ to add “Lpjt 6, Morningside Shores, Tumuli Township", the Chairman declared
the minutes approved as corrected.
. -Therfoil owing requests for variance were heard:
Floyd E, Beecher, Fergus Falls, MN, requested permission to place a second dwelling
on a 3% acre lot in Sub Lot A of Section 1 .Aurdal Township. After discussion,
motion was made by George Walter, seconded by Craig Anderson and carried, to deny
said request, no adequate hardship proven.
Richard L. Kiesling, Fargo. ND, requested permission to construct a dwelling 37'
from the road right-of-way, rather than the required 40', on Lot 6, Block 2, 1st
Add'n to Sunrise View Beach, Lida Township. After discussion, motion was made by
Craig Anderson, seconded by Frank Lachowitzer and carried, to approve request,
hardship being able to enjoy the same rights and privileges as the neighbors on
a substandard lot.
Jack Stouten, Wadena, MN, requested permission to build a 12' x 23' addition cabin
9* from side lot line rather than the required 10', on Lot 9, Gloria's Oak Manor
Beach, Rush Lake Township. After discussion, motion was made by Frank Lachowitzer,
seconded by Craig Anderson and carried, to approve because of the size of the lot,
all other houses being closer in said area.
Vernon Borqen, Pelican Rapids, MN, requested permission to build a 15' x 20' boathouse
8‘ from lake on Lot 4 of Stony Bar Estates, Lida Township. Motion was made by Tom
Stringer to table. The motion was seconded by John Everts and carried.
