Gregory and Caryn Tauer - Approved the variance application with conditions. (8:01 p.m.)
After discussion and consideration, Michael Harris made a motion, second by Paul Larson and unanimously carried, to approve a
variance of 37’ from the required ordinary high water level setback of 75’ for the replacement of an existing structure with a 26’
6” by 39’ 6” dwelling 38’ from the ordinary high water level with the following conditions: 1.) an existing open well must be
properly abandoned/sealed and 2.) no more than 25% of the total lot area can be covered with impervious surfaces. Hardship is a
substandard lot of record.

Robert L McMorrow, part of Lot 15 and all of Lot 16, Mikes Wall Lake Beach, Wall Lake in Aurdal
Township, requested a variance of 4T from the required ordinary high water level setback of 75’ for the
replacement of a screened porch 34’ from the ordinary high water level. The audience was polled with
Chris Kurtz, Paul Aasgaard and Lisbeth Aasgaard speaking for the variance as requested. After
discussion and consideration, Michael Harris made a motion, second by Cecil Femling and carried with
Rod Boyer voting no, to approve a variance of 4T from the required ordinary high water level setback of 75’
for the replacement of a screened porch 34’ from the ordinary high water level. The Board noted that the
proposed replacement structure will be no closer to the ordinary high water level than the existing structure
which was destroyed by a wind storm.
Matt Amundson - Tabled (7:40 p.m.)
Matt Amundson, Lot 3 Block 1 Coney Island Acres Second Addition, West Battle Lake in Girard Township,
requested variances from the required ordinary high water level setback of 75’ for the location of a structure
less than 75’ from West Battle Lake. Jim Peterson, Surveyor, appeared with the applicant at the public
hearing. The audience was polled with no one speaking for or against the variance as requested. A letter
from Jim Davis in support of the variance as requested was read for the record. After discussion and
consideration, Steve Schierer made a motion, second by Paul Larson and unanimously carried, to table
this variance application until the August 3, 2006 meeting for a more specific/detailed development plan.
Troy Budke - Approved the variance application as requested. (7:58 p.m.)
Troy Budke, part of Government Lot 8, Section 2 of Lida Township by Crystal Lake, requested a variance
of 17’ from the required ordinary high water level setback of 100’ for the placement of 20’ by 24’ addition,
which will attach the existing house to the existing garage, and a 12’ by 20’ concrete patio 83’ from the
ordinary high water level at the closest point. The audience was polled with no one speaking for or
against the variance as requested. After discussion and consideration, Paul Larson made a motion,
second by Steve Schierer and unanimously carried, to approve a variance of 17’ from the required ordinary
high water level setback of 100’ for the placement of 20’ by 24’ addition, which will attach the existing
house to the existing garage, and a 12’ by 20’ concrete patio 83’ from the ordinary high water level at the
closest point as depicted on the drawing submitted with the variance application. Hardship is a
substandard lot of record. The Board noted that the proposed development is on the backside of the
existing 28’ by 32’ structure and away from the ordinary high water level.

Jay Weer represented the applications at the public hearing. The audience was polled with no one
speaking for or against the variance as requested. After discussion and consideration, Michael Harris
made a motion, second by Paul Larson and unanimously carried, to approve a variance of 37’ from the
required ordinary high water level setback of 75’ for the replacement of an existing structure with a 26’ 6”
by 39’ 6” dwelling 38’ from the ordinary high water level with the following conditions: 1.) an existing open
