Daniel J. Dick - Approved as requested. (7:52 p.m.)
Daniel J. Dick, Lot 16 and part of Lot 17, Merryland Park and part of Government Lot 1, Section 7 of Rush
Lake Township by Marion Lake, requested the following: Regarding variance approved on 6-3-04.
Request to split lots 16 and 17A from part of Government Lot 1 was approved. After reconsidering, I would
like to request that lots 16,17A, and part of Gpvemment Lot 1 be able to be sold as one parcel. 16 and
17A (53-000-99-0295-000) and part of Government Lot 1 (53-000-07-0030-007) are recorded and deeded
W/O.T. County. New home would be built on newly acquired land to the east of property (Proposed Lot
“C”). Approved variance and maps are attached. Amended/additional variance request would allow me
the option to exercise either variance if approved; Randall Mann, Chair, polled the audience with no one
speaking for or against the variance as requested. After consideration and discussion, Cecil Femling made
a motion, seconded by Steve Schierer and unanimously carried, to approve the variance as requested in
the variance application dated July 9, 2004. The Board noted that there would be no more than one
residential structure per parcel.
Lance and Barbara Wohlwend -Approved as requested. (7:58 p.m.)
Lance and Barbara Wohlwend, Lot 11 Block 2, Leaf Lake Properties, East Leaf Lake in Leaf Lake
Township, requested a variance to have Lot 11 Block 2, Leaf Lake Properties declared a buildable lot for
residential purposes. Lot 11 Block 2, Leaf Lake Properties has approximately 200’ of width. The required
width for a buildable back lot on a recreational development lake is 300'. Randall Mann, Chair, polled the
audience with no one speaking for or against the variance as requested. After consideration arid
discussion, Cecil Femling made a motion, seconded by Michael Conlon and carried with Frank Lachowitzer
voting no, to declared Lot 11 Block 2, Leaf Lake Properties a buildable lot for residential purposes. The
Board noted that this parcel is quite large.
Tim Maneval and Daryl and Karen Hinrichs - Approved as requested. (8:09 p.m.)
Tim Maneval and Daryl and Karen Hinrichs, part of the Northeast Quarter of the Southeast Quarter and
part of Government Lot 1, Section 10 of Candor Township by Ida Lake, requested a variance to have two
five acres back lot parcels declared/classified as residential buildable lots. Each parcel has less than the
minimum required width of 400'. Rod Boyer appeared along with the applicants at the public hearing.
Randall Mann, Chair, polled the audience with no one speaking for or against the variance as requested.
After consideration and discussion, Frank Lachowitzer made a motion, seconded by Cecil Femling and
unanimously carried, to declare two five acres back lot parcels as depicted on the registered surveyor’s
drawings submitted with the variance application as buildable lots for jesidential purposes. Hardship is the
terrain of the property. The Board noted that both lots have public road access, room for two on-site septic
systems and that both lots are separated from the lake by a major highway.
Tom and Amy Mielke - Approved as requested. (8:20 p.m.)
Tom and Amy Mielke, part of Government Lot 2, Section 34 of Dead Lake Township by Dead Lake,
requested a variance of 84' from the required septic system setback of 150' for the installation of a sewage
system 66’ from the ordinary high water level. Randall Mann, Chair, polled the audience with Bob and
Rose Deutschman providing information about the applicants’ property and other properties in the
immediate area. After consideration and discussion, Steve Schierer made a motion, seconded by Cecil
Femling and unanimously carried, to approve a variance of 84’ from the required septic system setback of
150’ for the installation of a sewage system 66’ from the ordinary high water level. The Board noted in their
approval that there is no other available site for a system, that the applicants have had three installers
