After discussion and consideration, Steve Schierer made a motion, seconded by Michael Conlon and unanimously
carried, to approve a variance to subdivide a 1.22-acre buildable parcel, by metes and bounds description, from an
existing 23.85-acre parcel with the condition that a registered surveyor’s drawing must be provided. The Board noted
that the property has access to a public road and that the granting of this request is consistent with past actions of the
Board in thisjmmediate area.

Thursday, June 3, 2004
The Otter Tail County Board of Adjustment met Thursday, June 3, 2004, with the following persons in
attendance:

Called to Order - Randall Mann Chairman, called the meeting of the Board of Adjustment to order at
6:30 p.m.
Minutes Approved -
The membership of the Board of Adjustment approved the minutes of the May 13, 2004 meeting as mailed.
of Adjustment considered the following applications for variance:
d Alberts - Approved as requested with a condition. (6:32 p.m.)
’"Alfred Alberts, part of Government Lot 4, Section 27 of Rush Lake Township by Round and Rush Lakes,
requested a variance to subdivide a 1.22 acre parcel, by metes and bounds description, from an existing
23.85 acre parcel. The minimum size required for new metes and bounds subdivisions within the
shoreland area is 5 acres. Chairman Mann polled the audience with no one speaking for or against the
variance as requested. After discussion and consideration, Steve Schierer made a motion, seconded by
Michael Conlon and unanimously carried, to approve a variance to subdivide a 1.22-acre buildable parcel,
by metes and bounds description, from an existing 23.85-acre parcel with the condition that a registered
surveyor's drawing must be provided. The Board noted that the property has access to a public road and
that the granting of this request is consistent with past actions of the Board in this immediate area.
Loren L and Phyllis J Olstad - Approved the variance as requested. (6:39 p.m.)
Loren L and Phyllis J Olstad, Lot 4 Block 1, Squires Addition, Rush Lake in Rush Lake Township,
requested a variance to have substandard back lot (Lot 4 Block 1 Squires Addition) declared a buildable lot
for residential development. Chairman Mann polled the audience with no one speaking for or against the
variance as requested. After discussion and consideration, Randall Mann made a motion, seconded by
Joe Maske and unanimously carried, to approve Lot 4 Block 1, Squires Addition as a buildable lot for
residential development/purposes. The variance as granted will provide the applicants with the ability to
enjoy the same rights and privileges as others in this immediate area.
