After consideration, motion was made by Bert Olson, seconded by Cecil Femling and unanimously carried, to approve a variance of 3' from the required side lot line setback of 10' for the construction of an 8’ by 30' addition to an existing dwelling located 7' from the side lot line. The addition will be no closer to the lake or the lot line than the existing structure. James R. Thomas - Approved James R. Thomas. Knoxville, lA, requested a variance of 3' from the required 30' maximum height of a dwelling for the construction of an "A" frame retirement home with a height of approximately 33‘. The property is described as part of the SE1 /4 SW1 /4 and part of Government Lot 3, Section 2 of Everts Township on Otter Tail Lake. The audience was polled with no one speaking for or against the request, After consideration. motion was made by John Everts, seconded by Cecil Femling and carried with George Walter voting no and with Craig Anderson abstaining, to approve a 3' variance from the required 30' maximum height of a dwelling for the construction of an "A" frame retirement home with a height of approximately 33'. The parcel where this structure will be located is considered a back lot and this area is more appropriate for this type of structure. This structure will not infringe on any surrounding neighbor's privacy or solar use. Herbert H. Kath - Approved Herbert H. Kath. Ottertail, MN, requested a variance of 10' from the requiredside lot line setback of 1 O' for the placement of a 9 1 /2' by 26' portable steel utility shed on the west lot line. After consideration, motion was made by Dan Oehler, seconded by Craig Anderson and unanimously carried, to approve a T variance from the required side lot line setback of 10' for the placement of a 9 1 /2' by 26' portable steel utility shed 3' from the lot line. Hardship being a substandard lot of record. David T. Kressin - Approved David T. Kressin, Breckenridge, MN. requested a variance of 2' from the required side lot line setback of 1 O' for the construction of a 24' by 24' attached garage. The property is described as Lot 5 and 6, Beauty Beach, Otter Tail Lake in Amor Township. The applicant was represented by his son-in-law at this hearing. The audience was polled with no one speaking for or against the request. After consideration, motion was made by Craig Anderson, seconded by Bert Olson and unanimously carried, to approve a variance of 2’ from the required side lot line setback of 10' for the construction of a 24' by 24' attached garage. Hardship being a substandard lot of record.
