Printers. Fergus Falls, Minnesota June 26, 1995 Dear County Board of Commissioners: As I understand the main reason for this meeting is because we are a cluster development, as we are not running this property as a resort anymore, and haven’t for 18 years. Also, along with the cluster development situation, we would like to do our share in eliminated as many of the buildings as possible by the following means We would like to do is by the use of a string line method pull cabins #5 and #6 together to make for 1 bigger cabm. We would like to actually pull cabin #5 easterly to #6) You will see from the sizes of these cabins that they are not large at all, and then piit one roof over the both and make it a single family cabin with the 6’ x 6’ bump being removed from cabin #6’which is the bathroom, and possibly also removing it from cabin #5 and putting the bathroom under the same roof structure. We understand the set back is 10’, but we are not able to do that because there are two very large, old, trees that would have to be removed, and we are not willing to take them down. We would be able to move it 2 - 3 feet farther than it is now, which is I’ll”. If the request to pull these cabins together is accepted, along with a variance for the set-back, then we would be willing to remove the excess cabins #2, #3 and #7, along with the old office building, with the hope that you will give us 2 years to complete said project due to distance, time and finances. If the request is denied then it is our intention of hooking the existing cabins up to the new septic which will be installed as soon as we have our answers from this meeting and can get our bids in. We have made contact with several septic installers, and thus far we are leaning toward Melvin McGowan. We would also like to move the New office building to the north lot line and get it out of view from cabins 4, 5 & 6. 1 believe right about the area of where cabin 3 is now, again we would like a variance set back of approx. 5 feet, where cabin #3 is setback 3 feet . With regards to our neighbors, to the North is an existing resort cped Hook, Line & Sucher. Along our north lot line, their south, they have applied for and received variances to put permanent decks onto their mobile homes/campers, of which we have never contested. From the road to about cabin #4 they have mobile homes and camper hookups all along our north lot line. In the area where the two cabins are that we want to pull together, they have a cabin which sets about half way between the cabins 5 & 6, which appears to be within 3 ’ from the fence, and they also have many cabins that are closer to the lake than this particular-cabin. 1 hope this will paint you a vague picture of our northerly neighboring property. 0 .Eril f i In11 ' JUN 2 9 1995 land & RESOURCE Up. 1 On the South of us is a single family residence/cabin which is located a little east of our new office building. 1 believe they would be extremely happy for us to move that office building away from their cabin area. Thank you for allowing us to provide you with a scaled drawing instead of paying the $3,900.00 for the survey. If you have any questions, please feel free to call me at (507) 847-3468 work, or (507) 847-5365 home. My brother and myself will be present at the meeting in August.
