Steve and Ann Williams, Jamestown, ND, requested a variance of 60’ from the required ordinary high
water level setback of 100’ for the construction of a 10’ by 20’ portable entry to an existing
manufactured home. The property is described as the North 150’ of the South 250’ of East 166’ of
Government Lot 5, Section 31 of Dunn Township by Lake Lizzie. The audience was polled with no one
speaking for or against the request. After consideration and discussion, motion was riiade by Randall
Mann, seconded by. John Everts and unanimously carried, to approve a variance of 40’ from the
required ordinary high water level setback of 100’ for the construction of a 10’ by 20’ portable entry to
an existing manufactured home 60’ from the ordinary high water level. The variance as granted will
require the applicants to move their existing mobile home approximately 20’. Hardship is the terrajn
features of the applicants’ property.
Richard D. Dorow - Approved
Richard D. Dorow, Ottertail, MN, requested a variance to subdivide, by metes and bounds description,:
a 3.13 acre parcel into a lake lot (137.6’ by 357.1’) and a back lot (137.6’ by 400’) .without a registered ’
surveyor’s drawing. The property is described as Sub Lot 4 of Government Lots 3 and 4, Section 23 of -
Rush Lake Township by Rush Lake. The audience was polled with no one speaking for or against the
request. After consideration and discussion, motion was made by George Walter, seconded by Randall
Mann and unanimously carried, to approve the proposed subdivision as requested with the condition
that a registered surveyor’s drawing must be provided.
James and Lorraine Elliott and Donald and Bernice Wadeson - Approved
James and Lorraine Elliott, Moorhead, MN, and Donald and Bernice Wadeson, Fargo, ND, requested a
variance to fill in NW Corner bn existing cabin (6’ by IT). To enclose the roofed area being at the
closest, approximately 6’ 9” from proposed lot line (Wadeson). Request to split a triangular piece
(1,346 sq. ft.) and permanently-attach to Sub Lot J of Lot 6. Retaining approximately 107’ of shoreline
and 20,000 plus feet of area Without platting (Elliott). The property is described as part of Government
Lots 6 and 8, (Elliott) and Sub Lot J of Government Lot 6 (Wadeson), Section 2 of Scarhbler Township
by Pelican Lake. The audience was polled with no one speaking for or against the request. After
consideration and discussion, motion was made by Randall Mann, seconded by John Everts and
unanimously carried, to approve a variance to fill in the NW Corner of the existing cabin (6’ by 1T), to
enclose the roofed area being approximately 6’ 9” from the proposed lot line at its closest point and.a
variance to purchase a triangular piece (1,346 sq. ft.) from the adjacent property owner for permanent
attachment to Sub Lot J of Government Lot 6 with the condition that neither lot can have impervious
surfaces covering more than 25% of the total lot area. It should be noted that the adjacenfproperty
owner is retaining approximately 107’ of shoreline and 20,000 square feet of area. Hardship is a
substandard lot of record.
