Douglas Kramer - Approved
Douglas Kramer, Henning, MN, requested a variance to be allowedto sell Lots 1 thru 19ofB&
K Acres( Metes and Bounds Subdivision) as Individual buildable lots. Each lot has 2.5 plus acres
with varying widths and depths. Due to changes In the Shoreland Ordinance not all of these lots
meet the minimum requirements. The property Is located In Section 22 of Rush Lake Township
on Round Lake. This request had been tabled at the April 6th, 1992 meeting. The audience was
not polled as there was no one remaining at the time of this hearing. After much discussion and
consideration, motion was made by John Everts, seconded by Bert Olson, to approve the variance
as requested as these lots were on the tax records In 1987 as Individual parcels, prior to their
combination In June of 1988, and would have been recordable lots prior to the ordinance change
In February of 1992. After additional discussion and Information regarding the status of the
property being enrolled in a governmental program John Everts withdrew his motion and Bert
Olson withdrew his second. Discussion continued and after additional consideration, motion was
made by Craig Anderson, seconded by Oeorge Walter and unanimously carried, to recognize the
tax parcels that were combined In 1988 Into one tax parcel as 19 Individual lots of record and
that they be appropriately classified and taxed as Individual lots. After additional consideration,
motion was made by John Everts, seconded by Craig Anderson and carried with Cecil Femling
voting no, to grant a variance that would allow the applicant the right to sell Lots 1 thru 19 of B
& K Acres as Individual lots, even though a number of the lots do not meet the width
requirements of the current shoreland ordinance. These Individual lots have excess square
footage and they do meet the square footage requirements of the current shoreland ordinance.
These lots were taxed as Individual lots In 1987 and each lot has Its own legal description.
With no further business. Chairman Walter declared the meeting adjourned.
