Board of Adjustment - 3 -August 7/ 1986 Charles Nolan, Fargo, ND, requested permission to cxmstruct a 33' roadway rather than the required 66' roadway, on a proposed plat of Nolan Addition, Section 23, Amor Itiwnship, because the roadway connecting to proposed road is a 33' road and continuing the 33' road would maintain the integrity of the wooded area. Terry Anderson appeared. After consideration, motion was made by Craig Anderson to grant approval, contingent upon written consent by the township that maintenance of this segment of the road would not be denied because of the 33' width, hardship being the uniqueness of the plat, the 4,000 plus feet of connecting township road at 33', the relocation of the road and construction of a culdesac, an inconvenience and hard­ ship, to accorrmodate the township. The motion was seconded by Marcus Wiechmann and carried with the follcwing vote: All voting in favor 3HARLES NOLAN approved i William J. Benard, Detroit Lakes, MN, requested permission to construct dwelling 50' from lake, 6' fron each sidelot line, cn Lot 6, Midland Beach, Dunn Township. Appearing and speaking, or letters were sub­ mitted from: Ftith and Fred Svppes, Ken Connor, Mr. and Mrs. George Dutton, Brian Brogard, W. L. Butler, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Olson, Alpha Bjerken. After consideration, motion was made by Craig Anderson, to apply the "string test", at no closer to lake than neighbors on either side. The motion was seconded by John Everts and carried with the following vote: All voting in favor WILLIAM BENARD APPROVED LAKE SETBACK DENIED SIDE LOT SETBACK Motion was made by Craig Anderson to approve a 4' side lot variance on both sides, hardship being a substandard lot and granting to allow same rights and privileges as neighbors enjoy. The motion was seconded by John Everts but failed with the following vote: Yes: Craig Anderson No: Marcus V/iechmann, John Everts and George Walter Motion was made by ©eorge Walter to grant a 2' variance on either side. The motion was seconded by Craig Anderson but failed with the following vote: Yes: George Walter and Craig Anderson No: Marcus Wiechmann and John Everts Motion was made by Marcus Wiechmann to deny side lot variance, no adequate hardship shown. The motion was seconded by John Everts and carried with the following vote: Yes: Marcus Weichmann, John Everts and George Walter No: None Abstaining: Craig Anderson Kenneth H. Davis, Brooklyn Center, MN, requested permission to con­ struct dwelling on Lot 4, 'Saint Lawrence Beach, R\jsh Lake Township, with a 4' variance on one sidelot line and a 4' to 8' variance on other sidelot line. John Scorora and Pauline Lembeck were submitted. After consideration, motion was made by John Everts to deny, no adequate hardship shown, with other alternatives for a smaller structure, or a two story structure being available.
