The granting of the variance will allow the conveyance of the existing building site independently from the remaining acreage. After consideration, motion was made by Craig Anderson, seconded by George Walter and carried with Cecil Femling voting no, to approve a variance of 6T from the required side lot line setback of 65’ for the placement of a water - oriented accessory structure 4’ from the side lot line. It was noted that this variance request is being approved because of notes contained in the applicant’s file. Norman and Laverne Nelson - Approved Norman and Laverne Nelson, Battle Lake, MN, requested a variance to subdivide a 1.16 acre tract from an existing 75.44 acre parcel. The dimensions of the parcel will be 241.75’ by 208.75’. The minimum size required for metes and bounds parcels within the shoreland area is 5 acres. The property is described as part of the South Half of the Southwest Quarter, Section 22 of Amor Township by Otter Tail Lake and by an Unnamed Lake. After consideration, motion was made by Craig Anderson, seconded by Robert Schwartz and unanimously carried, to approve a variance to subdivide a 1.16 acre tract from an existing 75.44 acre parcel with the condition that a registered surveyor’s drawing must be provided at the time of recording. The parcel will be 241.75’ by 208.75’.
