“Kellogg’s Paradise Point” / Les Kellogg - Tabled to March 12,
A Preliminary Plat of “Kellogg’s Paradise Point” consisting of 8 Single Family Residential
Lots, 1 Block. The property is described as Pt of GL 6, Section 27 of Hobart Township:
Long Lake (56-388), RD.
Les Kellogg represented the Application.
Charles Pronto expressed concerns regarding the existing road.
Motion: A motion by Schwartz, second by Estes to table (at the Applicant’s request) to
the March 12, 2003 Meeting, if not viewable, it would be considered in April (Applicant
agreed) to allow the Applicant to: 1. Address the issues in the letter from the DNR
(Department of Fisheries), must include proposed lake access. 2. Address the concerns
regarding the existing road (dedication & possibility of relocation). 3. Provide a proposal
regarding the existing cabin that is currently located less than 100’ from the lake. 4.
Stake the proposed lotlines. Voting: All Members in favor.
Duane & Jeannette Wahl - Denied:
A Conditional Use Permit Application stating: Took out ice ridge and hauled in washed
sand. (Per phone call - Took out ice ridge that was about 50’ to 70’ long and 3’ to 4’
high. Brought in about 30 cubic yards of washed sand, 11-14-02).

ilDavid A. Chase — Approved As Requested:
A Conditional Use Permit Application to add 30 x 40 freezer to 25 x 40 freezer. Freezer
made of 4’x14’ panel, 5” insulation, white in color (storage freezer for ice plant) and to
keep 26 x 41 temporary freezer. This is existing wholesale ice plant approved by County
in November 19, 1996. The property is described as Pt of GL 4 (4.17 AC), Section 5 of
Rush Lake Township; Marion Lake (56-243), GD.
Rodney Sazama and Steven Chase represented the Application.
Motion: A motion by Lachowitzer, second by Sha to approve as requested. Voting: All
Members in favor.
Break: At 8:10 P.M. the Commission took a 5 minute break.
Gordon Scott - Approved With Conditions:
A Conditional Use Permit Application stating: I want to construct a driveway that is 475’
long X 45’ wide. The approach will be raised 5 feet with approx. 100 cubic yards of fill, 3
feet will be cut from top of hill, fill being used in approach and wetland impact area. Also
fill from wetland replacement location will be used in driveway. Wetland replacement
area will be approximately 3600 sq. feet. The wetland impact area which is 60’ x 60’ will
be raised 3-4 ft., the black dirt will be saved to spread on side slopes of driveway and
seeded. The property is described as E/1/2 of NW1/4 of SW1/4 (20* Ac) , Section 1 of
Erhards Grove Township: Unnamed Lake (56-1568), NE.
