After consideration and discussion, Rick Wilson made a motion, seconded by Thomas Lee and unanimously carried, with a
suggestion that if it is at all possible the applicant should attempt to move back as much as possible to reduce impervious surface
coverage even more, to approve the proposed development as stated in the variance application dated June 17, 2016 and as
depicted on the drawing and other supporting documentation submitted with the variance application. The members of the Board
noted that the proposed development is a good plan and a great improvement. The variances as approved do not directly or
indirectly grant any other variances for the proposed or future development.

Mark Schultz and Johan Angeline Nord, part of Government Lot 11 of Section 7, part of the Southwest Quarter of the
Southwest Quarter, part of the Northeast Quarter of the Southwest Quarter and part of Government Lot 7 of Section 8
and all of Lot 6, part of Lot 8 and all of Lot 9, Jerry-Marg Beach Second Addition, Scalp Lake in Hobart Township,
requested the following: We are requesting a variance from the Subdivision Controls Ordinance to allow us to split
our 5.15 acre backlot property into two backlot parcels, without platting. The two lots would be attached to the
owners' respective lake lots across the road. Both lots would be subject to backlot requirements, for non-residential
use. Proposed Parcel A to be Attached to Lot A - 32000990387000 and Proposed Parcel B to be attached to Lot B -
32000990384000. Each parcel to be approximately 2.5 acres with 150' of w'idth. Survey to be done upon approval.
Mark Schultz represented the applicants at the public hearing. The audience was polled with no one speaking for or
against the variance as requested. After consideration and discussion. Ward Uggemd made a motion, seconded by
Dan-en Newville and unanimously canded, to approve the proposed subdivision as stated in the variance application
dated June 17, 2016 and as depicted on the picture submitted with the application with the condition that a registered
surveyor's drawing must be provided at the time of conveyance. The approval is consistent with past actions of the
Board of Adjustment. The variance as approved does not directly or indirectly grant any other variances for future
development.

Laurie M. and Richard A. Steen, Lot 9 North Shore Park, Jewett Lake in Elizabeth Township, requested the
following: We are requesting a variance for the total impeiwlous surface percentage. We would like to replace our
cun-ent pole bam shed with a garage. The replacement garage would actually be 32 square feet smaller than the
existing shed and would be moved 17' further from the lake and existing drain field. Total impervious surface would
be reduced from the total 29.7% to 28%. Building impervious surface would be at 17.1%, which is less than the
maximum allowable of 20%. The audience was polled with no one speaking for or against the variance as requested.

Lake, requested the following: We are requesting penwission to conduct a boundary line adjustment within our 6.46
acre back land properties cumently identified as Parcel No. 02000270195000, approximately 1120 feet N-S by 85 feet
E-W lying northerly of the alley behind Lot 1, Roinez Beach and running northerly to Eldorado Beach Road; Parcel
No. 02000270196000, approximately 1075 feet N-S by 89 feet E-W lying Northerly of the alley behind Lot 2, Roinez
Beach and running northerly to Eldorado Beach Road; and Parcel No. 02000270197000, approximately 1028 feet N-S
by 89 feet E-W, lying northerly of the alley behind Lot 3, Roinez Beach and Running Northerly to Eldorado Beach
Road. We are requesting to reaiTange the north-south division lines of these 3 parcels to a more practical east-west
division line aiTangement. The most northerly new Parcel (B-3) approximately 262 feet along Eldorado Beach Road
and approximately 350 feet along Augustana Drive containing 2.10 acres. I’he center new Parcel (B-2) approximately
315 feet along Augustana Drive and approximately 262 feet deep containing 1.90 acres. The southerly new Parcel (B-
1) approximately 382 feet along Augustana Drive and approximately 262 feet deep containing 1.90 acres. We are
requesting the remaining back land property (A-1) containing .56 acres lying between new Parcel (B-1) and the alley
behind Lots 1, 2 and 3, Roinez Beach, be pennanently attached to the existing lake shore Parcel A. A certificate of
survey outlining the above accompanies this application and upon approval an updated certificate of survey wdll be
provided which contains the proposed legal descriptions for the new parcels.
