Beach, Long Lake in Elizabeth Township. The audience was polled with no one speaking for
or against the request. After consideration, motion was made by Randall Mann, seconded by
Cecil Femling and unanimously carried, to approve a variance of 46' from the required
ordinary high water level setback of 100’ for the construction of a garage 52’ from the
ordinary high water level and at least 10' from the side lot line; a variance of 48' from
the required ordinary high water level setback of 100' and a variance of 5' from the
required side lot line setback of 10’ for the construction of a second story to an

of the existing dwelling. It should he noted that neither the garage addition or the
second story addition will be any closer to the ordinary high water level than the
existing dwelling and the approval of the variance as stated above provides the applicant

Renee C. Goff - Approved
Renee Cheryl Goff, Erhard, MN, requested a variance of 38' from the required ordinary high
water level setback of 200’ for the placement of a dwelling 162’ from the ordinary high
water level. The property is described as the SWl/4 3E1/4 and part of the SEl/4 SWl/4 and
Government Lot 6, Section 11 of Friberg Township on High Island Lake. The audience was
polled with no one speaking for or against the request. After consideration, motion was
made by Craig Anderson, seconded by John Everts and unanimously carried, to approve a
variance of 58’ from the required ordinary high water level setback of 200' for the
placement of a dwelling 162’ from the ordinary high water level with the condition that
the existing dwelling and garage must be removed within six months after the new structure
has been completed. It was noted by tne Board that this is the best possible location for
the new dwelling, that other structures are closer to the ordinary high water level and
that the granting of this variance does not establish a precedent. It should also be
noted that these are replacement structures.
