Printers • Fergus Fal.ls, Minnesota Decenber ISth, 1995 - Page 3 Patrick and Cynthia L. Schliesman - Denied/Approved Patrick and Cynthia L. Schliesman, Dalton, MN, requested a variance of 11' from the required road right-of-way setback of 20' for the placement of a 12' by 30' horse shed 9' from the road right-of-way. The property is described as part of the West 1/2 of the Southeast 1/4, Section 29 of Tordenskjold Township on an unnamed lake. The audience was polled with no one speaking for or against the request. Letters in favor of the requested variance from the following were read for the record: LeRoy and Mary Jean Nelson, Virgil and Eileen Schmit, Vicky Thomas, Howard and Jean Hovland, Duane Moe, Chairman Tordenskjold Township, Floyd Mark, Supervisor Tordenskjold Township and Glen Bolstad, Supervisor Tordenskjold Township. After consideration, motion was made by George Walter, seconded by Randall Mann and carried with Leslie Estes and John Everts voting no, to deny the variance as requested as no adequate hardship had been shown and to allow the applicant until June 1st, 1996 to either remove the structure or to place the structure in a location complying with the requirements of the ordinance. After additional review, discussion and consideration, motion was made by Randall Mann, seconded by Craig Anderson and unanimously carried, to allow the existing 12' by 30' horse shed to remain in its present location, 9' from the road right-of-way, with the condition that two older buildings on the same side of the road as the new structure must be removed (one of these structures must be removed by June 1st, 1996 and the other structure must be removed by October 1st, 1996). If the applicants should choose not to remove the two older structures then the new structure would have to be either removed or placed in a location that complies with the requirements of the ordinance by June 1st, 1996. Hardship being the terrain of the applicants' property. 51 Wilfred Thoennes - Approved Wilfred Thoennes, Parkers Prairie, MN, requested a variance to subdivide a tract of less than 2.5 acres, without platting and without a registered surveyor's drawing, from an existing 73.47 acre parcel.
