Klein - Approved as requested Motion was made by Steve Schierer, second by David Holmgren and unanimously carried, to approve a variance of 28’ from the required ordinary high water level setback of 75’ and a variance of 2’ 6” from the required side lot line setback of 10’ for the addition of a second story to the existing dwelling and for a 12’ by 25’ two story addition to the rear of the existing dwelling. It was noted that the proposed additions would be no closer to the side lot line than the existing structure, the proposed additions would be behind the string line and the proposed additions would not obstruct the view from the adjacent properties. The applicant noted that after completion of the proposed project less than 25% of the total lot area would be covered with imperious surfaces. THE CEMENT FLOOR IS 4" THICK. THE STRUCTURE WAS BUILT ON THE BACK LOT(SEE LEGAL DESCRIPTION) NEAR THE EAST LOT LINE, 180 FEET FROM THE LAKE SHORE. THE REASON FOR THE BUILDING BEING ERECTED NEAR THE LOT LINE IS BECAUSE THE LOT IS ONLY 54 FT. IN WIDTH. THE OWNER OF WEST ONE-HALF(Wl/2) OF LOT 8 IS IN AGREEMENT WITH THE LOCATION OF THE STORAGE BUILDING, THE BACKSIDE OF THE BUILDING BEING ADJACENT AND NEAR THE LINE. FOR AN OUTSIDE TOLET MUCH HAS BEEN LOCATED AT THIS LOCATION ON THE LOT LINE FOR MANY YEARS. IT HAS BEEN SHARED BY BOTH PROPERTY OWNERS. SOME YEARS AGO IT WAS UPDATED WITH A LEGAL HOLDING TANK AND INSPECTED, LAST YEAR THE STRUCTURE WAS DAMAGED BY A FALLEN TREE CAUSED BY HIGH WIND. Motion was made by Craig Anderson, seconded by George Walter and unanimously carried to grant the necessary variances for the location of the existing outside toilet. It was noted that the outside toilet had existed since 1948 and that it was approved when the lake was abated.
