(6:40 p.m.) Rob and Mary Wedeking, part of the Southwest Quarter of the Northwest Quarter, Section 6 of Girard Township by Blanche Creek, requested the following: existing attached garage is not repairable. We would like to replace it with a 28’ by 40’ newly constructed attached garage. We cannot meet the standard 100’ setback and request a variance of 37’ from the two ponds/canals attached to Blanche Creek. Randall Mann, Chair, polled the audience with no one speaking for or against the variance as requested. After consideration and discussion, Steve Schierer made a motion, second by Paul Larson and unanimously carried, to approve a variance of 37’ from the required ordinary high water level setback of 100’ for the construction of a 28’ by 40' attached garage 63’ from the ordinary high water level. The Board noted that the variance as approved does not grant directly or indirectly any other variances. Mallissa Lee, Pamela King and Candace Tyson - Denied. (6:45 p.m.) Mallissa Lee, Pamela King and Candace Tyson, part of Government Lot 1, Section 14 of Pelican Township by Prairie Lake, requested per the application is the following; “2 substandard contiguous lots declared separate and buildable.” Office comment - From the information submitted with the application it would appear that the variance requested is a variance to subdivide an existing 1.57 acre metes and bounds parcel, portions of which were acquired at three different times (1970, 1971 and 1973) into two separate buildable lots. The minimum size of platted lots on lakes classified as recreational development lakes is 40,000 square feet of area, 150’ of water frontage and 150’ of width at the building setback. The minimum size for metes and bounds subdivision within the shoreiand area is 5 acres. Mallissa Lee and Steve Zimmerman represented the applicants. Randall Mann, Chair, polled the audience with no one speaking for or against the variance as requested. After consideration and discussion, Randall Mann made a motion, second by Rod Boyer and carried with Paul Larson voting no, to deny the variance as requested as no adequate hardship unique to the property had been demonstrated that would allow for the granting of the variance as requested and the granting of the variance as requested would create substandard lots. .ySusan Veldhuizen Reitz and Michael and Karen Donald - Approved the variance as requested. ^(7:05 p.m.) Susan Veldhuizen Reitz and Michael and Karen Donald, part of Lot 1 and all of Lot 2, Big Pine Point and part of Government Lot 3, Section 15 of Pine Lake Township by Big Pine Lake, requested a variance of 10’ and a variance of 40’ from the required wetland setback of 50’ for the installation of septic/lift tanks 40’ from the wetland and for the installation of a drain field 10’ from the wetland. Randall Mann, Chair, polled the audience with no one speaking for or against the variance as requested. A note from Kyle Westergard stating that the proposed location is the best location for the system was read for the record. After consideration and discussion, Steve Schierer made a motion, second by Michael Conlon and carried with Cecil Femling voting no. to approve a variance of 10’ and a variance of 40’ from the required wetland setback of 50’ for the installation of septic/lift tanks 40’ from the wetland and for the installation of a drain filed 10’ from the wetland as depicted on the installer’s plan dated April 7, 2005, which was submitted with the variance application.
