Meeting of the Otter Tail County Planning Conmission was held on July 5, 1979
at 7:30 P.M. in the Commissioner's Room, Court House, Fergus Falls, Minnesota 56537.
Members present were:Beck, Portmann, Trites, Estes, Lachowltzer, Ryan,
Lindquist, Lee and Sproull.
Passed:A motion by Ryan, second by Lindquist to approve the minutes of the
June 20, 1979 meeting as mailed.
Voting: All members in favor.
A motion by Lachowltzer, second by Lee to approve the special use
application of Timothy License, dated May 25, 1979 on Devils Lake,
No. 56-245, GD, Sec. 6 of Perham Twp.
Passed:.
Voting: All members in favor.
A motion by Lachowltzer, second by Trites to approve the special use
application of Valentine Scherbart. dated May 30, 1979 on Dead Lake,
No. 56-383, NE, Sec. 25 of Dead Lake Twp. except for driveway to the
lake is denied and 4 to 1 slope is required at west end of cut project.
Passed:
Voting Yes:Beck, Trites, Estes, Lachowltzer, Ryan and Lee.
Voting No: Portmann and Lindquist.
Passed:A motion by Beck, second by Trites to approve the special use
application of Paul Cline, dated May 31, 1979 on West Battle Lake,
No. 56-239, GD, Sec. 28 of Girard Twp. for subdividing and Otter Tail
County Subdivision Control Ordinance shall be followed.
Voting; 'All members in favor.
Mr. Steve Savary held a pre-application meeting with the Planning Commission and
explained his proposed subdivision of Oakview Heights. No formal action was taken.
Passed:A motion by Portmann, second by Estes to approve the special use
application of Lee G. Nelson, dated June 6, 1979 on Hoot Lake, No. 56-
782, RD, Sec. 25 of Fergus Falls Twp. provided that there must be no
backing up of water on adjacent neighbors. Fergus Falls Twp. Board
spoke to the Commission.
Voting; All members in favor.
Passed:A motion by Lindquist, second by Lee to table the special use application
of Richard Currier, dated June 13, 1979 on Pelican Lake, No. 56-786, GD,
Sec. 9 of Dunn Twp. as applicant failed to appear.
Voting; All members in favor.
