After consideration, motion was made by Randall Mann, seconded by Rod Boyer to approve the variance as requested noting that the area requiring the variance does not contain a basement, that the slab is on grade, that adequate area for servicing the septic tank does exist and the overall plan is an improvement over the previous situation. This motion failed with John Everts, Cecil Femling, David Holmgren and George Walter voting no. After additional discussion and consideration, motion was made by George Walter, seconded by John Everts and unanimously carried, to deny the variance as requested as no adequate hardship had been shown. Arilda Januszewski - Approved Arilda Januszewski, Perham, MN, requested a variance “to create a parcel less then 2.5 acres, approximately 144’ x 320’, approximately 46,000 sq. ft. with left over acreage to be permanently attached to 2.5 acres west of mine.” The property is described as part of the North Half of the Northwest Quarter of the Northeast Quarter, Section 13 of Perham Township. The audience was polled with no one speaking for or against the request. This would place all three dwellings on this grade essentially in line with each other without compromising the required septic setback minimum of 10’.
