Roland Willits, Sub Lot 5 of Government Lot 3, Section 20 of Dunn Township by Lake Lizzie, requested the
following: Option A - Replace the existing cabin with a new cabin behind the established “General Building
Line.” Option B - Replace the existing cabin with a new cabin behind the established “String Line.” Scott
DeMartelaere, Architect, represented the applicant at the public hearing. Randall Mann, Chair, polled the
audience with no one speaking for or against the variance as requested. After consideration and
discussion, Steve Schierer made a motion, second by Michael Conlon and unanimously carried, to approve
development up to the general building line as depicted on the drawing labeled “Option B" with the
condition that the property north of the southerly line of Washburn Lane cannot be included when
determining total area for the impervious surface coverage calculation.
Benjamin C and Donna L Kimball - Approved with conditions. (7:23 p.m.)
Benjamin C and Donna L. Kimball, Lot 3 Cedar Park Club, Swan Lake in Dane Prairie Township, requested
a variance of 5’ from the required side lot line setback of 10’ for the purpose of a garage addition, which will
connect the existing garage to the existing house. Randall Mann, Chair, polled the audience with no one
speaking for or against the variance as requested. After consideration and discussion, Cecil Femling made
a motion to approve the variance as requested. The motion died for lack of a second. After additional
consideration and discussion, Michael Conlon made a motion second Steve Schierer and carried with Cecil
Femling and Paul Larson voting no, to approve a variance of 5’ from the required side lot line setback of 10’
for the proposed development as depicted on the drawing as submitted by the applicants with the condition
that the structure which connects the applicants’ existing garage with the neighbor's garage must be
removed before a site permit for the proposed development can be issued and with the condition that no
more than 25% of the total lot area can be covered with impervious surfaces.
David Henderson - Approved as modified with a condition. (7:34 p.m.)
David Henderson, Lots 9 and 10 Pulford Beach, Walker Lake in Amor Township, requested the following:
1) Request a variance of 60’ from the ordinary high water level. Required setback is 100’; 2) Request a
variance of 12’ from the road right-of-way in order to put a new roof over existing house, and an addition of
1,376 feet of living space, and attached garage. Required setback is 20’; 3) Request a variance of 2% over
the allowable 25% imperious surface coverage; and 4) Request a variance of 2’ from southeast corner of
existing house to property line to new roof over existing house. Applicant is also proposing the removal of
an existing 16’ by 18’ shed. Randall Mann, Chair, polled the audience with no one speaking for or against
the variance as requested. The applicant submitted a revised plan dated April 6, 2005. After consideration
and discussion, Cecil Femling made a motion, second by Rick Wilson and unanimously carried, to approve
the following: 1) a variance of 60’ from the ordinary high water level, 2) a variance of 3’ from the road right-
of-way in order to put a new roof over existing house, an addition of 1,376 feet of living space, an attached
garage, and 3) a variance of 2’ from the side lot line for the placement of the southeast corner of a new roof
over the existing house 8’ from the lot line as depicted on the revised plans dated April 6, 2005 with the
condition that an existing 16’ by 18’ shed must be removed by the expiration date of the site permit. The
Board noted that the proposed development would be no closer to the lake than the existing development
and that no more than 25% of the total lot area can be covered with impervious surfaces.
