( » November 1, 1985- 2 -Board of Adjustment Martha Kalpin Estate, represented by Donald Hanson, Attorney, Alexandria, MN, requested permission to split an 8.16 acre parcel in Sections 27 and 28, Parkers Prairie Tc^ship, into eight lots for eight children, heirs of the estate. After listening to the various interested parties, motion was made by Craig Anderson, seconded by Marcus Wiechmann and unanimously carried, to deny, no adequate hard­ ship shown. R±>ert L. Beattie, Moorhead, MN, requested permission to add a bath­ room to existing bunkhouse on Lot 4, Crystal Lida Beach, Lida Town­ ship. After consideration motion was made by John Everts to deny, this board has never allowed a second dwelling on a lot, although there is a bunkhouse there already, to allow would make a substandard situation more substandard. The motion was seconded ty Craig Anderson and carried unanimously. Beth Schwab & Lois Hayes, Lincoln, NE and Oklahana City, OK, requested permission for variance of platting requirements for lake frontage on one lot and allcw two dwellings to remain on one lot, on the proposed plat of Putnam Addition, to be located in Section 20, Dunn Township. After consideration, motion was made by Crciig Anderson to approve both variance requests on the condition the smaller buildings on Lots 4 & 5 are removed, aiid two of the three existing dwellings to remain on Lot 5 with the stipulation one of the garages referred to as "the granary" be removed froti Lot 5, restricting inprovements to only one dwelling on Lot 5, the other remain a non-conforming use. Hie motion en^^^^was seconded by Roger Marty and carried unanimously. ^Walden Helsene, Perham, MN, requested permission to place holding tanks within the setback requirements from road and side lot line. After consideration, motion was made by Craig Anderson to grant a 9' variance from side lot line and 19' variance from the road lot line using only as. much of the variance as is necessary to keep the required distance from the well, on Sublot 4 of G.L. 3, Section 1, Perham Township. Hie motion was seconded by Roger Marty and carried unanimously. Denied Denied Approved Leo and Dorothy Heger, VJheatland, ND, requested psermission to con­ struct new cabin on propjerty located on S.L. B, Section 10, Dunn Township, allowing porch to remain in present location. After consideration, motion was made by Marcus Wiechmann, seconded by Craig Anderson and unanimously carried, to grant variance from set back, meeting the "string test" at no closer to late than nei^ibors on either side, with no side lot variance, hardship being able to enjoy same rights and privileges as neighbors enjoy. Charles K. Bangs, Fergus Falls, requested permission to enlarge heme with roof over deck, 46' variance from lake with roof, cn Lots 9 & 10, Burseth Beach, Dane Prairie Township. AFter consideration motion was made by Marcus Wiechmann to deny addition to front, roofing the deck and screening, contrary to the best interests of the Board. Hie motion was seconded by June I^an and carried, with Roger Marty voting "no", no adequate hardship shevzn. Motion was then made by June F^an, seconded by Marcus Wiechmann and unanimously carried, to approve a 10' variance from the lake, hardship being a substandard lot, granting piermission will not change conplection to the degree it will cause problems, applicants should be able to enjoy the same rights and privileges the neighbors enjoy.
