Michael Ternus - Approved the variance as requested. (7:30 p.m.)
After consideration and discussion, Steve Schierer made a motion, second by Paul Larson and unanimously carried,
to approve a variance of 58’ from the required ordinary high water level setback of 150’ for a 10’ by 60’ addition to both
side of the existing structure located 92’ from the ordinary high water level. The Board noted that the applicant has
two substandard lots, which cannot be separated, and noted that any commercial use of this structure would required
review and approval by the Otter Tail County Planning Commission before the Land and Resource Department could
issued a conditional use permit. The proposed additions will be no closer to the ordinary high water level than the
existing structure.
