SERVICE CHECKS YOU CAN EASILY
PERFORM YOURSELF
You should also know thermostat clicks, liquid refrigerant
passing through the system and the sound of the compressor
starting are all normal. These sounds merely mean that the
unit is monitoring room temperature and conditioning the air ;
as needed.
If your unit still falls to operate properly after you complete all
of the owner’s service checks, FIRST contact your Carrier dealer
or the authorized service center he recommends. If still not-
satisfied, THEN contact the Carrier distributor serving your area.
NEXT: In the United States and Canada, you may write; Carrier
Air Conditioning, Consumer Relations, P.O. Box 4808, Syracuse,

Outside the United States, Alaska, Canada or Hawaii, you may
write; Service Manager, Carrier, P.O. Box 4806, Syracuse, N.Y.
13221, U.S.A.
In the United States, you may request third party arbitration
should you still feel your problem is unresolved after contacting
Carrier. MACAP, a group of independent consumer experts
voicing views at the highest levels of the major appliance in
dustry, provides this service. Write;
Major Appliance Consumer Action Panel
20 North Wacker Drive
Chicago, Illinois 60606

number; model and serial numbers of air conditioner; date pur
