Hardship being a very substandard lot of record. The property is described as Lot 28, Birchwood Subdivision, Little McDonald Lake in Edna Township. The audience was polled with no one speaking for or against the request. After consideration, motion was made by John Everts, seconded by Craig Anderson and .. unanimously carried, to deny the variance as requested as no adequate hardship had been shown. It was noted that the granting of the variance would have allowed the addition to exceed the established building line. Robert A. and Dorothy A. Penney • Approved Robert A. and Dorothy A. Penney, New York Mills, MN, requested a variance of 9’ from the required holding tank setback of 10’ and a variance of 5’ from the required mound/drain field setback of 10’ for the location of a storage shed T from the holding tank and 5’ from the mound/drain field. The parcel would be 150’ by 525’ or approximately 78,750 square feet. The property is described as part of Government Lot 3 and part of the Southwest Quarter of the Southeast Quarter, Section 31 of Girard Township by West Battle Lake. The audience was polled with Ruth Dailey speaking in favor of the applicant’s request. After consideration, motion was made by Randall Mann, seconded by Craig Anderson and unanimously carried, to approve a subdivision of less than 5 acres subject to the following conditions: 1) the parcel must have at least 200’ of width, 2) a registered surveyor’s drawing must be provided at the time of conveyance, and 3) a letter from the adjacent property owners indicating that there are no property line disputes must also be provided at the time of conveyance. It was noted that the proposed parcel does have public road access and that the proposed parcel has sufficient area to meet the minimum area requirement of the shoreland management ordinance for platted back lots on a general development lake. Bradford J. Anderson - Tabled A Bradford J. Anderson, Lansing, IL, requested a variance to allow three substandard contiguous lots to remain as individual buildable lots. The miriimum size required for platted back lots on a recreational development lake is 80,000 square feet of area and 300’ of lake frontage/lot width. The property is described as Lots 6, 7 and 8, Block 4, Pelican Heights Subdivision, Little Pelican Lake in Dunn Township. The audience was polled with no one speaking for or against the request.
