Irene Longerbone -Approved as requested.
Motion was made by Randall Mann, second by Robert Schwartz and unanimously carried, to approve a variance of 2'
from the required side lot line setback of 1 O', a variance of 1 O' from the required road right-of-way setback of 20' and a
variance of 1 O' from the required drain field setback of 1 O' for the location of an existing storage structure 2' from the
side lot line, 10' from the road right-of-way and O' from the drain field. It was noted that the drain field is accessible for
purposes of maintenance, that the road is not heavily travel and that there are other non-complying structures in the
immediate area. Hardship is a substandard lot of record.

Gerald and Lou Anne Stine -Denied
Gerald and Lou Anne Stine, Underwood, MN, requested a variance of 1 O' from the required road right-
of-way setback of 20' for the construction of a 24' by 32' garage 1 0' from the road right-of-way. The
property is described as Lots 9, 10, and 11, Basswood Ridge, South Turtle Lake in Tordenskjold
Township. A letter from Charles and Shannon Worum in favor of the applicants' request was read for
the record. The audience was polled with no one speaking for or against the request. After
consideration, motion was made by Randall Mann, second by Cecil Femling and unanimously carried,
to deny the variance as requested as no adequate hardship unique to the property had been shown
that would allow for the granting of the variance as requested.
Dennis and Loretta Sumstad -Denied
Dennis and Loretta Sumstad, Vining, MN, requested either a variance of 7' from the required side lot
line setback of 40' for the placement of a water oriented accessory structure (three season porch},
having a height that matches the wall of the existing structure, 33' from the lot line or a variance of 30'
from the required ordinary high water level setback of 75' for the placement of a three season porch 45'
from the ordinary high water level. The property is described as Lot 12, Ukkelberg Beach, West Battle
Lake in Girard Township. A letter from Dennis and Becky Jorud supporting the applicants' request was
read for the record. The audience was polled with no one speaking for or against the request. After
consideration, motion was made by David Holmgren, second by Randall Mann and unanimously
carried, to deny the variances as requested as no adequate hardship unique to the property had been
shown that would allow for the granting of the variances as requested. It was also noted that the
proposed development would be ahead of the string line and the applicant should consider placing the
proposed development on the side of the existing structure thereby keeping the development away
from the lake.

10'. From the applicant's drawing it appears that the proposed development will be 1 0' from the road

Point Park, Rush Lake in Otto Township. The audience was polled with no one speaking for or against
the request. After consideration, motion was made by Randall Mann, second by Robert Schwartz and
unanimously carried, to approve a variance of 2' from the required side lot line setback of 10', a
variance of 1 0' from the required road right-of-way setback of 20' and a variance of 1 0' from the
required drain field setback of 1 O' for the location of an existing storage structure 2' from the side lot
line, 1 0' from the road right-of-way and 0' from the drain field. It was noted that the drain field is
