Prin1ers • F~rgu~ Falls_. ~innesota MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE OTTER TAIL COUNTY BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT August 3, 2000 The Otter Tail County Board of Adjustment met Thursday, August 3, 2000, with the following persons in attendance: · Cecil Femling David Holmgren Randall Mann Steve Schierer Richard Sha Mark Steuart Kyle Westergard, Land and Resource Management David Hauser, County Attorney Jennifer Lessinger, Assistant County Attorney Call to Order -Randall Mann, Chairman, called the meeting of the Board of Adjustment to order at 6:30 p.m. Minutes Approved - Hearing no corrections or additions the minutes of the July 13, 2000 meeting was approved as mailed. The following variance requests,were heard: Chad A. Krause -Approved with modification. Chad A. Krause, Maple Grove, MN, requested a variance of 8' from the maximum allowable height of 18' for the constn:iction of a 40' by·80' structure having an overall height of 26'. It should be noted that the building will have 16' sidewalls, a 6-12 pitch, and will contain a living areawith a balcony, office space and workshop. The property is described as a 6.7-acre tract in Government Lot 1, Section 30 of Otto Township by Rush Lake. Roger Krause and his wife represented the applicant at the public hearing. The audience was polled with no one speaking for or against the request. After consideration, motion was made by, Steve Schierer, second by Ce,cil Fem ling and unanimously carried, to approve a variance of 6' from the maximum allowable height of 18' for the construction of a 40' by 80' structure having an overall height of 24'. ltvitas noted that a 6' variance is consistent with prior action of the Board of Adjustment.
