variance as requested as no adequate hardship unique to the property had been shown that would allow for the
granting of the variance as requested and the applicants have and can obtain a reasonable use of there property
without the granting of the variance as requested.

Ray Deboever, Lots 2 and 3 Block 1, Sandy Shore Development, Otter Tail Lake in Everts Township,
requested a variance to split off a 50’ by 250’ portion of two substandard contiguous lots for the purpose of
permanerltly attaching this tract to Lot 15 Clearrtiont Beach. Lauris Woessner appeared with the applicant
at the public hearing. The'audience was polled with Ron Tischer and Richard Haire speaking for the
variance as requested. Two letters in support of the yariance as requested were read for the record. One
letter wasjsigned by Marilee Tischer and the signature on the other letter is not readable. After
consideration, Cecil Femling made a motion, second by Joe Maske and unanimously carried, to approve
the variance as requested with the following conditions: 1.) a registered surveyor’s drawing showing the
line subdividing Lot 3 must be provided, 2.) the remaining portion of Lot 3 must be permanently attached to
Lot 16 Clearmont Beach, 3.) Lot 2 Block 1 Sandy Shore Development must be permanently attached to Lot
17, 4.) the back lot arid.front lot combinations noted above can have only one dwelling, and 5.) the.area
contained within the back lot cannot be used when calculating impervious surface coverage for front lot
development.

by Rush iJake, requested a.variance of 6’ from the required road right-of-way setback of 20’ for the
constructipn pf 26’ by 40’ garage 14’ from the road right-of-way. The audience was polled with no one
speaking for or against the variance as requested. After consideration, Steve Schierer made a motion,
second by Michael Harris and unanimously carried, to deny the variance as requested as no adequate hardship ijinique to the property had been shown that would allow for the granting of the variance as
requested and the applicants have and can obtain a reasonable use of there property without the granting
of the variance as requested.
Michelle Jennings - Denied. (9:00 p.m.)
Michelle Jennings, Lots 18, 19, 20 and 21 Viken Bay Beach, Pelican Lake in Dunn Township, requested a
variance to split 4 substandard contiguous lots into two separate buildable lots. Lots 18 and 19 with
approximately 18;O0O square feet would.be considered one parcel and the other parcel would be Lots 20
and 21 with over 20,000 square feet. Area requirement is 20,000 square feet. Both parcels would have
100’ of frontage. Jerry Smith, Realtor, represented the applicant at the public hearing. The audience was
polled with no one speaking for or against the variance as requested. After consideration, Cecil Femling
made a motion, second by Steve Schierer and unanimously carried, to deny the variance as requested
noting that the variance as requested would create a substandard lot and might also create a lot which is
non buildable because of an area which appears to be a bluff.
