Assessor and the MN DNR bk 072011-001 MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE OTTER TAIL COUNTY BOAIH) OF ADJUSTMENT Thursday, December 8, 2016 The Otter Tail County Board of Adjustment met Thursday, December 8, 2016, with the following persons in attendance: Paul Larson Steve Schierer Thomas Lee Ward Uggerud Eric Babolian, Land and Resource Management Kurt Mortenson, Assistant County Attorney Dairen Newville Rick Wilson Called to Order - Steve Schierer, Chair called the meeting of the Board of Adjustment to order at 6:30 p.m. Minutes Approved - The Board of Adjustment approved the minutes of the November 10, 2016 meeting as mailed. The Board of Adjustment considered the following applications for variance: James and Joy Boarini - Variance application approved as requested with conditions. (6:32 p.m.) James and Joy Boarini, Lot 10 Block lJuniper Hills, Marion Lake in Dead Lake Township, requested the following: Replace wood structured deck (walkway) with concrete, replace wood structured deck with concrete patio, replace large wood structured deck with smaller wood structured sereen porch and stairway. Impervious surface ratio is over allowed percentage, cuirent impeiwicus surface at 27.3%. Not increasing for project. The audience was polled with no one speaking for or against the variance as requested. After discussion and consideration, Steve Schierer made a motion, second by Thomas Lee and unanimously carried, to approve the projects as proposed in the variance application dated October 26, 2016 with the condition that no more than 26% of the total eligible lot area can be covered with impervious surfaces as determined and calculated by the Land and Resource Management Department and with the condition that all of the proposed projects must be at least 75’ from the ordinary high water level. In part the proposed projects are maintenance to the existing structure, none of the proposed projects will be closer to the ordinary high water level than the existing development and the proposed project are similar to other development in this immediate area. The variance as approved does not directly or indirectly grant any other variances for the proposed or future development. Ricky and Shirley Umberger - Variance application approved as requested.
