This application request that I be allowed to build at approximately 72 feet from the high water
mark which would be in line with the two neighbors cabins to the west. This will allow me to
build near the nature ridge that runs east to west on my lot at an elevation that should allow an
approved sewer system to be built without a mound. This would save me the expense of adding
fill At the 100 feet setback line I would have an obstructed view to the west and would be
viewing the back of the neighbors cabins. The 100 feet setback would also require that I add 3 to
4 feet of fill to provide a level building site with a view of the lake. The shore line management
ordinance does allow a string line setback but that would be approximately 15 ft behind the ridge
on the east side of the proposed building area. See the attached grid plot for reference.I

information about surrounding property, etc. APPLICANT SHALL BE PRESENT AT THE SCHEDULED HEARING.
I understand that I have applied for a variance from the requirements of the Shoreland Management Ordinance of Otter Tall County.

notion vas made by Craig Anderson, seconded by John Everts and unanimously carried, to
permit the applicant to apply a string line from.the old cottage to the vest of the
appliant's lot to a point 100' back from the ordinary high water level and 10' in on Lot
2, Block 1, Habuhay, with the front center of the proposed structure on the string line at
the center of the lot and at the center of the string line and to permit the applicant to
square up the structure with the lake. Allowing the applicant to square up the structure
with the lake means that the east side of the structure will exceed the string line by a
few feet and the vest side of the structure will be behind the string line by a few feet.
