Motion was made by Steve Schierer, second by Cecil Femling and unanimously carried, to deny the variance as requested noting that it is quite possible that this is a non-buildable lot or a lot suitable only for short term camper use. The Board also acknowledged the concern expressed by the Dora Town Board of Supervisors as a reason by denying the variance as requested. The applicants were also informed that should a bluff not affect their property they could submit a new application for consideration without the payment of a fee. We are asking you to help us overcome this hardship. We have 82 feet on the top of our lot. With the current laws we have to place the mobile home 30 feet from the bluff and 20 feet from the road requirements. We are asking for a variance of 15 feet from the centerline of the road to place a mobile home on our lot." From the applicants’ drawing it appears that the proposed 14’ by 70’ mobile home, at its nearest point, will be 18’ from the back property line and 30’ from the centerline of the road. The property is described as Lots 49 and 50, Oak Manor Shores, Loon Lake in Dora Township. A letter from the Dora Town Board of Supervisors opposing the applicants’ request was read for the record. The audience was polled with no one speaking for or against the request. After discussion and consideration, motion was made by Steve Schierer, second by Cecil Femling and unanimously carried, to deny the variance as requested noting that it is quite possible that this is a non-buildable lot or a lot suitable only for short term camper use.
