The audience was polled with Richard Harding, Crane Lake Property Owners Association speaking in support of the variance as requested. After discussion and consideration, Paul Larson made a motion, second by Steve Schierer and unanimously carried, to approve a variance of 34’ from the required ordinary high water level setback of 100’ for the placement of a 34’ by 34’ by 10’ addition 66’ from the ordinary high water level as depicted on the applicant’s drawing and to deny the variances as requested for the proposed screen porch and for the proposed garage. The Board noted that variance as approved will provide the applicant with reasonable use of their property and also noted that there is adequate room to place the proposed garage 20’ from the road right-of-way.
