Motion was made by Cecil Femling, second by Steve Schierer and unanimously carried, to deny the variance as
requested as in the opinion of the Board of Adjustment impervious surface coverage would exceed 25%, some of the
project is within the shore impact zone and the property cannot support this much development.

Week of 9/23/02 - Karen Damman (property owner) came into the office with a site plan showing a proposed
replacement dwelling on their property. The site plan shows the string test applied from the OHWL setback to
West McDonald Lake. However, they would need to apply for a Variance for the OHWL setback from Brown
Lake on the other side of the property. Ms. Damman wanted to know if one of our inspectors could verify the
string test and 50’ setback. She said would leave the site plan here and contact us after her husband had
staked the location of the proposed replacement dwelling on site.
10/02/02 - Called Ms. Damman since 1 had not heard from her. She said they are waiting, there may be
some changes in their plans. Will contact me in a week or so to let me know what is happening. She asked us
to hold onto the site plan for now.
