Ramsey National Bank Trustee for Lynn M Hoghaug - Approved the variance application as
requested with a condition. (6:40 p.m.)
Ramsey National Bank Trustee for Lynn M Hoghaug, Lot 4, 5 and 6 Provan Beach, Pelican Lake in Dunn Township,
requested the following: Adding second story to detached garage (built in 1974) for additional storage. Garage is 12’
to 14’ (West to East) from private road right of way. 20’ is the structure setback standard. The audience was polled
with no one speaking for or against the variance as requested. Lynn M. Hoghaug appeared at the public hearing.
After consideration and discussion, Michael Harris made a motion, seconded by Thomas Lee and carried with Randall
Mann voting no, to approve the addition of a second story to an existing detached garage in the location as depicted
on the drawing submitted with the variance application with the condition that no more than 25% of the total eligible lot
area, as calculated by the Land and Resource Department, using current ordinance standards can be covered with
impervious surfaces. The variance as approved does not directly or indirectly grant any other variances for the
proposed development; therefore, the proposed addition cannot exceed the 20’ height limitation.
