(7:14 p.m.) After consideration and discussion, Leona Zimmerman made a motion, seconded by Cecil Femling and carried with Michael Conlon voting no, to deny the variance as requested noting that no adequate hardship unique to the property had been shown that would allow for the granting of the variance as requested. The Board noted that it appeared that the applicant was attempting to make the property fit the desired structure instead of making the structure fit the property. Randall Mann, Chair, polled the audience with no one speaking for dr against the variance as requested. After consideration and discussion, Randall Mann made a motion, seconded by Cecil Femling.and unanimously carried, to deny the variance as requested as.no adequate hardship unique to the property had been shown that would allow for the granting.of the variance as requested, there is adequate room on the property to meet the required setbacks and the granting of the . variance as requested would establish precedence. Bryan Bossert - Approved the variance as requested with a condition. (7:26 p.m.) Bryan Bossert, Lot 8 Block 3, Lida Shores, Lake Lida in Lida'Township, requested a variance of 9" from the required side lot line setback of 10’ for the placement .of a dwelling, at the roadside, 9' 3" from the side lot lines. After consideration and discussion, Steve Schierer made a motion, seconded by Paul Larson and unanimously carried, to approve a variance of 9” from the required side lot line setback of 10’ for the placement of a dwelling as depicted on the applicant’s drawing.9’ 3" from the side lot lines, at the road side, with the condition that an existing 8’ by 12’ shed must be,either removed or placed in a location that complies with the setback requirements before a site permit for the new dwelling can be issued. Gregory and Carolyn Meyer - Approve the variance as modified with a condition (7:40 p.m.) Gregory and Carolyn Meyer, part of Government Lot 2, Section 14 of Edna Township by Paul Lake, requested a^variance of 62’ from the required ordinary high water level setback of 100’for.the placement of a deck 38’ from the ordinary high water level. Randall Mann, Chair, polled the audience with no one speaking for or against the variance as requested. After consideration and discussion, Cecil Femling made a motion, seconded by Steve Schierer and unanimously carried, to allow the placement of a deck no closer to the ordinary high water level than the existing dwelling and at least 10’ from the side lot line with the condition that no more than 25% of the total lot area can be covered with impervious surfaces. The Board noted that had they approved the variance as requested it would have placed the proposed deck ahead Of the sting line and within the shore impact zone.
