Minnesota -r ‘July 2,1998 Page 3 Wilfred and Barbara Lindenfelser- Approved/Denied Wilfred and Barbara.Lindenfelser, Richville, MN, requested a variance of 45’ from the required ordinary high water level setback of 150’ for the placement of septic tanks 115’ from the ordinary high water level, a -variance of 120’ from the required ordinary high water level setback of 200’ for the construction of a 12’ by 16’ addition 80’ from the ordinary high water level and a variance of 85’ from the required ordinary high water level setback of 200’ for a 16’ by 24’ addition and for a 28’ by 36’ addition no closer than 115’ from the ordinary high water level. Thefproperty is described as Government Lot 5 and a cartway over Government Lot 7, Section 26 of Dead Lake Township by Dead Lake and by an unnamed lake. A letter from Mervin L.; Freeman, President of the .Dead Lake Association, in support of the applicants’ application was read for the record. The audience was polled with Duane Donely speaking in favor of the applicants’ variance application. After consideration and discussion, motion was made by George Walter, seconded by Cecil Femling and unanimously carried to approve the 16’ by 24’ proposed addition and the’28’ by 36’ proposed addition as shown on the applicants’ drawing and to approve a variance of 45’;from the required ordinary high water level setback of 150’ for the placement of septic tanks 115’ from the ordinary high water level. After additional discussion and consideration, motion was made by John Everts, seconded by David, Holmgren and unanimously carried, to deny the proposed 12’ by 16’ addition as no adequate hardship had been shown and other reasonable alternatives exist that will not advance the existing structure towards the lake. Eugene Hanson • Approved Eugene Hanson, Dent, MN, requested the following: “The .SMO defines manufactured home as a dwelling. Request the manufactured home be considered as a storage structure (it is gutted-out) as a portion of the, shop is currently used as the dwelling.” The^property is described as an 8.85-acre tract in Government Lot 2, Section 6 of Dead Lake Township by Star Lake. Eric Hanson represented the applicant at the public hearing. The audience was polled with no one speaking for or against the request. After consideration and discussion, motion was made by Randall Mann, seconded by David Holmgren and unanimously carried, to change the classification of the existing mobile home from a dwelling to a storage shed subject to the review of the County Attorney.as to the legality of the motion. George Harris - Approved George Harris, Eagan, MN, requested a variance “to replace an existing shed that is approximately 18’ from the lake, with a 10’ by 12’ shed being approximately 30’ from the lake. The proposed shed would be behind some trees and not too visible from the lake.” The property is described as Lot 1, Silent Acres, West Silent Lake in Dora Township.
