On October 3, 1985 our office conducted an onsite inspection of Mr. Norman
Stender's property on Star Lake (56-385) which revealed that Mr. Stender has
complied with our request for the stabilization of the area he altered this
spring.
Since this is the case, we feel no further action in this matter is needed
by your department.

RE: State of Minnesota v. Norman Stender
On September 23, 1985, Mr. Stender appeared in criminal court and pled
guilty to the charge of Grading and Filling a Shoreland Area Without a
Permit. The sentence was 90 days in jail and a $700 fine with 90 days
and $500 of the fine stayed on the condition that the defendant follow
through with the stabilization as required in your letter of July 26, 1985.
Tom Donoho represented Mr. Stender, and advised me that the work has
already been done. If the work is done to your satisfaction, nothing else
needs to be done. If any further work or corrections have to be done,
please let me know.
