Behrends, Slayton, MN, requested a 5' variance from the required 1 O' side lot line setback for the construction of a garage. The property Is described as Lot 5 of D&D Development, Silver Lake In Everts Township. The audience was polled with no one speaking for or against the request. After consideration, motion was made by Craig Anderson, seconded by John Everts and unanimously carried, to approve a 5‘ variance from the required 10' side lot line setback for the construction of a garage. Hardship being a substandard lot of record and the granting of this variance does not create a fire hazard as the buildings of the neighbors to the south are off of the property line. I i I iLouise Howe - Approved iLouise Howe, Et Al, Newport, MN, requested a variance of 41' from the required shore Impact zone setback of 100' and a variance of 141' from the ordinary high water level setback of 200' for the placement of a 14' by 70' mobile home 59' from the lake. Also, requesting a 55' variance from the required 150' setback from the ordinary high water level for the placement of a sewage holding tank. The holding tank will be 95' from the lake. The property is described as the south 750' of Lot 2, Section 19 of Dead Lake Township on Dead Lake. Herb Howe represented the applicant at this hearing. The audience was polled with no one speaking for or against the request. After consideration, motion was made by John Everts, seconded by Craig Anderson and unanimously carried, to approve a variance of 41' from the required shore Impact zone setback of 100' and a variance of 141' from the ordinary high water level setback of 200' for the placement of a 14' by 70' mobile home 59' from the lake and a variance of 55' from the required 150' setback from the ordinary high water level for the placement of a sewage holding tank. Hardship being a substandard lot of record and the unique shape of this lot. The granting of this variance allows the applicant reasonable use of the property. It should be noted that the applicant has owned this lot since 1954 and the previous structure that was located on this lot was lost to a fire approximately five years ago. I . ( ! i i i Gloria Magness - Approved Gloria Magness, Fridley, MN, requested a variance from the bluff impact zone for the construction of a 14' by 24' addition onto an existing structure, The required setback from the top of the bluff Is 30'. The property Is described as the west 1320' of Lot 10, Section 32 of Dora Township on West Silent Lake. Also, representing the applicant at this hearing was Mark Rud. The audience was polled with no one speaking for or against the request. After consideration, motion was made by Cecil Femllng, seconded by Craig Anderson and unanimously carried, to approve the variance as requested with the condition that a retaining wall be put in place to prevent erosion from occurring under the new structure.
