The audience was polled with Jeff Berg speaking for the variance as requested. An email from Mark and Robyn Isaacson in support of the variance as requested was read for the record. After discussion and consideration, Michael Conlon made a motion, second by Cecil Femling and unanimously carried, to approve the placement of a structure (14’ by 66’ mobile home) 4T from the ordinary high water level as depicted on the applicant’s drawing with the following conditions; 1.) the existing drain field must be abandoned, 2.) the existing septic tank must be converted to a holding tank, 3.) the structure must be placed at least 10’ from the holding tank, 4.) the structure must be placed at least 10’ from the side lot line, and 5.) the structure can be 1.5’ closer to the road right-of-way than the existing structure which will be approximately 17’ from the road right-of-way. In order to record deeds a variance must be obtained because a substandard split would be taking place.” . r Board of^djustmeht Secretary Date: October 13, 2000 uimifctij oAjtiilL l^OOO<^q IOOqQ£^ MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE OTTER TAIL COUNTY BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT November 2, 2000 The Otter Tail County Board of Adjustment met Thursday, November 2, 2000, with the following persons in attendance: Cecil Femling David Holmgren Randall Mann Steve Schierer Mark Steuart Leona Zimmerman Bill Kaler, Land and Resource Management Director Mark Ronning, Land and Resource Management David Hauser, County Attorney Call to Order - Randall Mann, Chairman, called the meeting of the Board of Adjustment to order at 6:30 p.m. Minutes Approved - Hearing no corrections or additions the minutes of the October 12, 2000 meeting was approved as mailed. The following variance requests were heard: Thomas Erickson - Tabled Thomas Erickson, Fergus Falls, MN, requested a variance of 10’ from the required drain field setback of 20’ for the placement of an attached garage 10’ from the drain field. The property is described as Lot 24 and part of Outlot D, Basswood Ridge, South Turtle Lake in Tordenskjold Township. The audience was polled with no one speaking for or against the request. After discussion and consideration, motion was made by Steve Schierer, second by Leona Zimmerman and unanimously carried, to table the applicant’s request until the next scheduled meeting of the Board of Adjustment for a determination, by the Land and Resource Department, as to what variance is necessary for the development as proposed. Chuck and Karen Jacobs - Approved as requested Chuck and Karen Jacobs, C/0 Taylor Investment Corporation, Brainerd, MN, requested the following: “To allow property exchange between the Wagener’s and Jacob’s for the road relocation for the Subdivision of East Silent Lake Shores at the request of the Planning Commission. Road has been built to Twp. Specs and Town Board adopted a Resolution to approve the relocate and vacate of Town Rd T-758 (AKA 41 O'” Street). Deeds are being exchanged in a result of a no net loss to the Jacob’s to allow the road to be realigned into the existing roadway.
