County Attorney, Jennifer Lessinger Solid Waste Director, Mike Hanan SW Public Information Office, Marie Tysdal HHW Regional Program Manager, Dave Stadum Soil Digitizing Contribution Agreement GIS Employee, Brian Armstrong, reported that the soil digitize book in paper form has been approved and will be published next month. The next step is to digitize these maps. After several meetings and not wanting to wait 10-15 years to digitize the maps, a decision was made that Otter Tail County would move ahead and pay for the cost to complete this project sooner. The total cost of the project is $105,000 with the United States Dept, of Ag NRCS paying half of this cost. That brings the county cost to $51,800. Discussion followed. Motion by Froemming, second by Mosher, and unanimously carried to authorize the Chair’s signature to execute a Contribution Agreement between the County of Otter Tail and the Wisconsin Natural Resources Conservation Service of the United States Department of Agriculture for soil digitizing map(s) as described above subject to the approval of the County Attorney and added language for penalty if the project is not completed by December 31,2000 as stated in the agreement. Recess & Reconvene At 11:45 a.m.. Chair Portmann declared the meeting of the Otter Tail County Board of Commissioners recessed for lunch break.
