MOTION AS FOLLOWS:
Motion was made by John Everts, seconded by Craig Anderson and unanimously carried, to
approve a variance of 7' from the recjuired maximum height of a non-dwelling structure of 18'
for the construction of an 85' by 100' confinement dairy bam having a height of 25' and being
setback 260' from the ordinary hi^h water level. It was noted that the structure will be no
closer to the ordinary high water level than the existing structure and the structure will be
a part of an existing farm operation.

Donald W. Pick - Approved
Donald W. Pick, Dalton, MN, requested a variance of approximately 38' from the required ordinary high
water level setback of 100’ for the replacement of an existing 10' by 60’ mobile home with a new dwelling
approximately 62’from the ordinary high water level. The property is described as Lots 113, 114, 115
and 116, Sater - Humphrey Ranch Camp, Ten Mile Lake in Tumuli Township. The audience was polled
with no one speaking for or against the request. After consideration, motion was made by Randall Mann,
seconded by Craig Anderson and unanimously carried, to approve the replacement of an existing 10’ by
60’ mobile home with a new dwelling being no closer to the ordinary high water level than the existing
mobile home. Hardship being a substandard lot of record.
Terry Lee Hoffman - Approved
Terry Lee Hoffman, Verges, MN, requested a variance of 7’ from the required maximum height of a non
dwelling structure of 18’ for the construction of an 85’ by 100’ confinement dairy barn having a height of
25’ and being setback 260’ from the ordinary-high water level. The property is described as part of
Government Lots 1 and 2 and part of the Southeast 1/4 of the Northeast 1/4, Section 5 of Dora Township
by West Spirit Lake. The audience was polled with no one speaking for or against the request. After
consideration, motion was made by John Everts, seconded by Craig Anderson and unanimously carried,
to approve a variance of 7’ from the required maximum height of a non-dwelling structure of 18’ for the
construction of an 85’ by 100’ confinement dairy barn having a height of 25’ and being setback 260’ from
the ordinary high water level. It was noted that the structure will be no closer to the ordinary high water
level than the existing structure and the structure will be a part of an existing farm operation.
James Eugene Bjork - Tabled
James Eugene Bjork, Fergus Falls, MN, requested a variance of 8’ from the required maximum height of
a non-dwelling structure of 18’ for the construction of a 32’ by 60’ shop having a height of 26’. The
property is described as part of Sub Lots F and G of Government Lots 3 and 4, Section 30 of Aurdal
Township on Hoot Lake. The audience was polled with no one speaking for or against the request.
Verlin Menze, Aurdal Town Board Chairman stated earlier that the township had approved of the
applicant’s request. After consideration, motion was made by Randall Mann, seconded by Craig
Anderson and unanimously carried, to table the applicant’s request until the next scheduled meeting to
allow the applicant an opportunity to consider other alternatives.
Lliff D. Odegard - Approved
liiff D. Odegard, Fergus Falls, MN, requested a variance to subdivide an existing 6.25 acre parcel into
two parcels of less than 5 acres. One parcel would be approximately 2.98 acres and the other parcel
would be approximately 3.27 acres. The property is described as part of the East 1/2 of the Northwest
1/4, Section 21 of Fergus Falls Township. The audience was polled with Vic Petterson stating that the
Fergus Falls Town Board does not oppose the variance request. After consideration, motion was made
by Craig Anderson, seconded by Cecil Femling and unanimously carried, to approve a variance to
subdivide an existing 6.25 acre parcel into two parcels. One parcel would be approximately 2.98 acres
and the other parcel would be approximately 3.27 acres. It was noted that each parcel does have
adequate space for two approved septic systems.
